Hydraulic Nut Mounting Pressures & Mounted Assembly
WidthsThe first part of table 1 below gives approximate
values for fluid pressures when using the hydraulic
nut mounting method. Values derive from standard formulae
for press fit mounting force (T.A. Harris), with modifications
to account for the sleeve taper. The second part of
the table lists the mounted assembly widths for both
the SPW & SFCW units, (with bearings in the fixed
position).
